A nickel-iron-chromium alloy with additions of molybdenum and copper. It has excellent resistance to both reducing and oxidizing acids, to stress-corrosion cracking, and to localized attack such as pitting and crevice corrosion. The alloy is especially resistant to sulfuric and phosphoric acids. Used for chemical processing, pollution-control equipment, oil and gas well piping, nuclear fuel reprocessing, acid production, and pickling equipment. |
A nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy with an addition of tungsten having excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of severe environments. The high molybdenum content makes the alloy especially resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion. The low carbon content minimizes carbide precipitation during welding to maintain corrosion resistance in as-welded structures. Used in pollution control, chemical processing, pulp and paper production, and waste treatment. |

| Incoloy 825 is a versatile general engineering alloy with resistance to corrosion in acids and alkalis under both oxidizing and reducing conditions. High nickel content gives the alloy virtual immunity to stress corrosion cracking. Corrosion resistance is good in media as diverse as sulphuric, sulphurous, phosphoric, nitric and organic acids, alkalis such as sodium or potassium hydroxide, and acidic chloride solutions. The versatility of Incoloy 825 is illustrated by its use in nuclear fuel element dissolvers where a variety of corrosive media, e. g. sulphuric and nitric acids and sodium hydroxide, are handled in the same equipment. | Hastelloy C-276 can be used in many chemical processes with oxidizing and reducing media. The high molybdenum and chromium contents render the alloy resistant to chloride ion attack. The tungsten content further increase this resistance. Hastelloy C-276 is one of the few materials that is resistant to moist chlorine gas, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide solutions. The alloy is outstandingly resistant to concentrated solutions of oxidizing salts (such as iron (Ⅲ) chloride and copper chloride). | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Incoloy 825 is used in a wide variety of applications up to a temperature of approximately 550℃.The typical applications are: 1. Components such as heating coils, tanks, crates, baskets and chains in sulphuric acid pickling plants; 2. Sea-water-cooled heat exchangers, offshore product piping systems; tubes and components in sour gas service; 3. Heat exchangers, evaporators, scrubbers, dip pipes etc. in phosphoric acid production; 4. Air-cooled heat exchangers in petroleum refineries; 5. Food processing; 6. Chemical plant; 7. Combustion-resistant alloy for high pressure O2 applications。 |
Hastelloy C-276 finds wide application in the chemical and petrochemical industry, for components in organic processes containing chlorides, and for catalytic systems. The material is especially suitable for use in situations where hot, contaminated mineral acids, solutions and organic acids (such as formic and acetic acid) as well as sea water occur. Other fields of application are: 1. Pulp and paper industry, e.g. for digestion and bleaching vessesls; 2. Scrubbers and special reheaters as well as wet-operating fans for combustion and flue gas desulphurisation systems; 3. Equipment and components for sour-gas service; 4. Reacters for acetic acid production; 5. Sulphuric acid coolers; 6. Manufacture and processing of technically impure phosphoric acid. |
